When as children
we wondered & questioned
our thoughts circled
to know the little things
When as teens
we started to feel
hormones paved their way
as we formed new attachments
When in twenties
we hurried, to make progress
& earn the most wealth
as new fears engaged us
When in thirties
we got settled
a cozy house by the street
& had a family together
When in forties
we became more firm
as challenges evolved
to stay & thrive
When in fifties
blessed as we felt
to live through the offerings,
so many up and downs
so many moments of joy
as passed with grace
When in sixties
'would like to retire'
the camper was waiting
to start the travel!
Kids have settled
their pursuits are on
now’s the time to let go
& just be here to explore!
