What is Political Science?

Political Science provides an understanding of the way political societies operate and relate to one another. It examines the political and social interactions that take place in a society, the policies that are used to solve problems and the ways that these policies are enacted and changed over time. Also, it involves studying and analyzing the ideas of governments, their principles and that how independent states work.

In a broader sense, the discipline aims to analyze, interpret, and explain the mechanisms and values which shape and sustain human social relationships and to assess and explain the actions of the social actors, and their limitations and possibilities in a political sphere.

In this context, political science examines the relations between political organizations, the interdependence of systems and processes, the interrelationships among people in diverse institutions and circumstances, and the nature of political choices of the institutions.
